The real show piece at The Hive is nature itself.

Forest & HouseNestled into eighteen acres, the land that lines the ridge directly behind the house is abundant with Eastern White Cedar and easily traverse-able.

The magical beauty of this particular conservation acreage was dedicated as the Wilmot Creek Commemorative Forest to honour individuals who contributed to Ontario’s Conservation Movement.

plaqueThe plaque reads:

To the North Lies the WILMOT CREEK COMMEMORATIVE FOREST Acquired With The Assistance of the Nature Conservancy of Canada, The Ontario Conservation Authorities and the Province of Ontario in Honour of Dr. A. H. Richardson, A.S.L. Barnes and J.D. Thomas, whose vision and dedication contributed immeasurably to the Conservation Movement in Ontario.

Complete with a winding stream, the flora and fauna of this forest inspires wonder and deep emotion — perfect for calming, inquisitive or eco adventures.

The Hive offers a space to help people connect with nature, unwind and feel rejuvenated.
